Luxury Holiday Farmhouse in Symondsbury, West Dorset, England, 2 miles from the sea, owned by the Colfox Family Crepe Farmhouse nestles between rolling hills in the beautiful countryside of West Dorset, just on the outskirts of the unspoilt and tranquil village of Symondsbury.
The Market town of Bridport is 2 miles away and offers a wonderful variety of shops and restaurants to suit all your needs as well as a traditional street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are many outlets supplying local produce and a regular Farmers market monthly in the centre of the town. The farmhouse is only 3 miles from the spectacular Jurassic Coastline, which has just been awarded World Heritage status.
Accommodation
This substantial 18th Century farmhouse, with its own luxury leisure complex and walled garden is quietly situated only 3 miles from the unspoilt harbour at West Bay, and numerous secluded beaches. Carefully refurbished, the house offers comfortable, spacious accommodation, set within the courtyard of a working farm, close to historic Bridport (2 miles) and beautiful Lyme Regis (8 miles). In the garden is an indoor heated pool complex with sauna and jacuzzi. There are some beautiful walks, either along the coastal and cliff paths or in the surrounding picturesque countryside. Golf and sea fishing are also available locally.

Ground Floor: Entrance Hall.
Living Room: Study leading through double doors to small room containing double sofa bed. Very large Dining/Sitting/ Party Room with ornamental inglenook fireplace, open woodburning stove and large dining table. Telephone room containing drinks fridge. Spacious, well-equipped modern fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer microwave etc. and breakfast area with large table and chairs.
Separate WC.
First Floor: One large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, 4 twin-bedded rooms and one other double room. Two further bathrooms with WC. All bathrooms are tiled with power showers.
Second Floor: Double Bedroom and separate Bathroom, WC including power shower and bath.
Basement: Large cellar used as games room, currently with table tennis table and pool table.
Garden: Large enclosed garden with flower beds and lawn. Pool/jacuzzi/sauna complex in building at bottom of garden overlooking italianate patio with built-in barbecue and patio furniture. At the back of the pool complex is a games room with table football, darts and children's soft tennis.

Clive and Anita welcome you to-Weatherbury Self-Catering Cottages - VB Four Stars. Nestling in the Piddle valley, surrounded by rolling hills and woods lies the old village of Puddletown, Thomas Hardy's Weatherbury.
Mead Cottage. The attractive light and airy lounge/diner has a very well equipped kitchen. A heated conservatory opens to a sheltered patio and pretty south facing terraced cottage garden planted with shrubs, trees and flowers for year round interest. There is a ground floor cloakroom and w/c. Upstairs is a pretty double bedroom, two single bedrooms and bathroom with an overbath shower.
Mabel's Cottage. The cosy and comfortable lounge/diner opens into a furnished and heated conservatory which overlooks the patio and small walled garden. The separate well-equipped kitchen is also a breakfast room for two. There is a ground floor cloakroom with w/c. On the first floor is the double bedroom with floral fabrics, two single bedrooms and a bathroom with over-bath shower.
Each cottage sleeps up to 4 persons. They are comfortably furnished and well equipped with full gas central heating; duvets with linen; CTV andradio; cooker; microwave; fridge/freezer; washing machine; ironing facilities; hairdryer; cot (not bedding) and high chair available; books; tourist information leaflets; garden furniture.
One dog accepted in Mead Cottage only.

A pleasant walk from your cottage through Puddletown Forest leads to Thomas Hardy's Cottage. The woods in Spring are filled with bluebells and primroses; in June with rhododendrons and in Autumn ablaze with golden tints.
In the next hamlet lies the 15th Century Athelhampton House and Gardens. Beyond is the village of Tolpuddle made famous by its martyrs. The Roman town of Dorchester with its shops, museums and large weekly market is under five miles away.
